My Story

Lâma + health & fitness were always synonymous to everyone who knew me.

And yet I used to get sick a lot. A chronic perfectionist, I was chronically fatigued, chronically overwhelmed, and yes also chronically depressed. Blood tests were routine and so were antibiotics. It felt like I was always struggling to stay afloat. There was always so much to do and so little time to feel. Some days drowning felt easier.

At the same time I had this nagging knowing that my body was trying to speak to me in ways that were loud enough for me to hear. But I had been so accustomed to listening to everyone else’s needs first that I couldn’t hear what mine were. Illness was finally making me pay attention. It was my body’s way of saying ‘stop’, when maybe I couldn’t.

All my years of experience and certifications in fitness training, nutrition, in teaching and training Pilates and Yoga could not be nearly as helpful to me as when I actually started paying close attention to what was beyond the limitations of my own mind.

Once I began to understand and experience the power of these connections myself, I rarely got sick anymore. True story. And I began tapping into my intuition, inspiration, energy and creativity like never before. No joke.

It's been my obsession to study stress, trauma, and the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. And now I use THE SPACE as a physical center to bring you all my latest learnings with a continuously evolving offering across group and one-to-one options.

Professional Background

I have been coaching people through mindful movement of the body for over 20 years.

I studied Art & Design, I am certified in Fitness, Functional training, Pilates, Yoga, and various Somatic methods. This led me to create and develop my own blend of mindful movement practice called Yogalates-X (as I was also never one to follow the crowd 😉).

I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation trainer and an iPEC certified Core Energy Coach. I have coached doctors, lawyers, business owners, creatives, young adults, parents, individuals with eating disorders, and cancer patients.

I give mindfulness meditation and group coaching sessions for students and teachers at schools; for recovering addicts at rehab centres; in companies and corporate events. And because I’m a mind-body geek, I’m currently deepening my studies in Trauma & Somatics and Neurosciences.

The common denominator for almost all the struggles I have seen, including my own, stems from the disconnect between the mind and the body- even though there is no separation.

A crazy kind of power sparks within you when the mind, body, emotions, and spirit begin to align.

This, along with my obsessive passion for personal growth and empowering people was my calling for offering this Holistic Core Coaching method: A coaching umbrella that embodies all what makes us human.
