Mbody

MBody (from the verb “Em-body”) is about diving into the mindful experience of everything our body offers, right here and now.

To embody is to live the FULL experience and expression of our thoughts and feelings through the body, mind and spirit. This class will guide you towards the full expression of power, strength and potential, but also into the space of softness and stillness - all at once.

MBody brings together the 4 core principles of The Space: Movement, Mindfulness, Mindset, and Energy Metrics to help you connect with your body, mind, and spirit on a deeper level.

Here's What You Can Expect:

In this class, you’ll be taken on a journey of connection with your core self. We'll delve into mindset coaching tools, breathwork, mindfulness meditation, and lots of strengthening poses - all combined in a fluid seamless flow.

The goal? To bring you to the full embodied feeling of being at home in your body. To feel more relaxed, calm, and confident. To increase your muscular strength, flexibility, and mobility. To improve posture and balance. To have practical tools to release anxiety, worry, and overwhelm. To experience power, calm and the feeling of freedom to the body, mind and spirit.

Group Class

Yogalates X

Yogalates-X is a unique and empowering full spectrum mind, body & spirit practice. Created by Lâma Nasser, this method combines the strength and stability of Pilates, the mobility and balance from functional training, and the flow and flexibility of Yoga, together with breath as the primary tool.

Using mindfulness techniques, mindset coaching tools, and powerful movement practices with breath work, this method teaches body awareness while safely coaching you towards your fullest physical and mental potential.

Working solely with your own body weight, or with props such as foam rollers, weighted balls or soft balls, you can expect to be challenged differently every time.

Walk away with a stronger, toned, freer body, a more resilient mind, and inner calm and balance.

Group Class

Yoga XL

Yoga XL is a 1 1/2 hour theme based class that is structured in 8 parts:

1. Meditation

2. Yin/somatic/facial release

3. Vinyasa/larger movements/core work

4. Standing poses

5. Peak pose

6. Seated/slower poses

7. Supine poses

8. Grounding poses/Savasana

The number 8 represents the confidence that things will come around through patience and the willingness to go through a bit of struggle. It gives the fortitude to endure and to come out the other side refreshed and renewed.

In this class you will be challenged and supported, uplifted and calmed, freed and connected.

Through precise exercises and mindful flows, you will increase your physical strength and mobility, release stress and anxiety, and empower your mind- moving through whatever is within you.

Breathwork and Mindfulness Meditation.

Release built up physical, emotional, and mental tension with breathwork and somatic release, and be guided into a space of inner stillness and presence with guided Mindfulness Meditation.

At The Space we also offer new workshops each month specifically curated by Lâma inviting talented and trusted external experts to bring you a wide range of modalities that can further support you on your holistic healing journeys.

We're not just another Yoga or Fitness studio; we are about holistic health and empowering you to take ownership of it.

Most health issues nowadays are caused by stress of an overwhelmingly busy life with mountains of expectations from society, colleagues, bosses, partners, friends, family.

It is so easy to lose yourself and experience health issues in such a world which is why we're dedicated to continuously dive deeper into research and new pathways to solve for this.

With our monthly workshops we don't only want to give you theory, but an experience, and practical tools that you can use beyond the workshop giving you a growing tool belt to be in more control and feel more confident about maintaining your mental and physical health beyond what Western Medicine has to offer.

LÂMA NASSER

Lâma + health & fitness were always synonymous to everyone who knew me. I've been coaching people through mindful movement of the body for over 20 years.

And yet I used to get sick a lot. A chronic perfectionist, I was chronically fatigued, chronically overwhelmed, and yes also chronically depressed. Blood tests were routine and so were antibiotics. It felt like I was always struggling to stay afloat.

I've been teaching teens in schools and individuals recovering from addiction in rehab centers; I have coached doctors, lawyers, business owners, creatives, young adults, parents, individuals with eating disorders, and cancer patients. And I know that one of the common ingredients for everyday fatigue and overwhelm is the disconnection between the mind and the inner compass of the body. The result? High stress levels, lack of focus, tension, emotional distress, numbing behaviours, and even illness.

I'm a certified IPEC Core Energy Coach and Mindfulness Meditation Trainer, with additional certifications and 20 years of teaching experience in Yoga, Pilates, Fitness, Functional training, and various Somatic practices. This led me to create and develop my own blend of mindful movement practice called Yogalates-X (as I was also never one to follow the crowd). And, because I’m a mind-body geek, I’m currently deepening my studies in Trauma & Somatics, and Neuroscience.
